Clusterduck, de geselecteerde kunstenaars in de EMARE residency bij IMPAKT

** IMPAKT gaat online door: EMAP/EMARE

In navolging van de maatregelen ter bestrijding van het Corona/COVID-19 virus zullen de deuren van het IMPAKT Centrum voorlopig gesloten blijven voor publiek. We stellen geplande events en tentoonstellingen uit en presenteren ondertussen meer programma's online. Ook de European Media Art Platform (EMAP) Conferentie 2020 werd afgelopen week georganiseerd als een online event. Alle elf EMAP organisaties kwamen digitaal samen en bespraken hoe de in 2020 geplande EMARE residencies en tentoonstellingen aangepast kunnen worden aan de huidige situatie.

** IMPAKT Channel: meer dan 100 videowerken online

In de tussentijd is het vanuit huis wel mogelijk het IMPAKT Channel te bezoeken, met videowerken van meer dan 100 internationale kunstenaars. Bekijk bijvoorbeeld het samengestelde programma I Shop therefore I Am (https://impakt.nl/channel/curated/i-shop-therefore-i-am/) , met daarin vijf werken gericht op de onzekere toekomst veroorzaakt door ons consumentengedrag en onze bezitsdrang. Extra vervreemdend in een tijd waarin de straten leeg en de meeste winkels gesloten zijn en er een deurbeleid geldt in de supermarkten. De komende tijd zullen er nieuwe programma's worden toegevoegd aan het Channel. We houden je op de hoogte via onze nieuwsbrief en social media.

** Ook online te bezoeken: The Future of the Past

In het afgelopen decennium is meer informatie opgeslagen dan in alle eeuwen daarvoor en deze zee aan gegevens breidt zich alleen maar uit. Hoe zal dit ons geheugen en de perceptie van tijd beïnvloeden? In het interactieve webproject The Future of the Past reageren 27 denkers en kunstenaars op een reeks vragen over hoe technologische ontwikkelingen onze perceptie van verleden, heden en toekomst veranderen. Met onder anderen Daan Roosegaarde, Olia Lialina, Evgeny Morozov, Geert Lovink, Bregtje van der Haak en Jason Scott. Blader online door de inspirerende interviews, kunstwerken en aanbevelingen van de sprekers heen op de IMPAKT The Future of the Past website.

IMPAKT continues online: EMAP/EMARE

Following the measures to combat the Corona / COVID-19 virus, the doors of the IMPAKT Centre will remain closed to the public for the time being. We will postpone our planned events and exhibitions and present more of our programme online. Last week the European Media Art Platform (EMAP) Conference 2020 was also organized as an online event. All eleven EMAP organizations met digitally and discussed how the EMARE residencies and exhibitions planned in 2020 can be adapted to the current situation.

, which contains five works focused on the uncertain future caused by our consumer behaviour and our urge to possess goods. Made extra alienating at a time when the streets are empty, most shops are closed and the supermarkets have a door policy. New programs will be added to the Channel in the near future. We will keep you informed through our newsletter and social media.

More information has been recorded over the past decade than in all the centuries that came before, and this sea of data is only expanding. How will this affect our memory and the perception of time?
