AND `WESTERN´ ART AFTER THE FALL OF THE IRON CURTAIN."
VíIT HAVRANEK
Vít Havránek is an art historian and curator based in Prague,
Czech Republic. Since 1998 he has been working as a curator for
the Municipal Gallery, Prague, CZ. In 2000 he founded the group
PAS - Production of Activities of the Contemporary together with
Tomas Vanek and Jiri Skala. He lecrures in contemporary art at the
Academy of Applied Arts, prague. He has curated and organized
numerous exhibitions, has written for contemporary art magazines
(Um?lec, Detail, Textes Sur L'art, Art Press), and for the daily
press. Since 1992 he has been working for tranzit.cz as a
freelance curator.
BORIS ONDREICKA
Bratislava based artist, musician and cultural initiator Boris
Ondreicka has an interdisciplinary background. He has been project
leader of tranzit.sk (Bratislava) since 2002 and forces border-
crossing activities like symposiums, talks, exhibitions,
happenings and concerts. He is one of the key figures in the young
Slowakian art scene. Since the mid-nineties he has been exhibiting
as an artist internationally, at manifesta 2, 50th Venice
Biennial, Kölnischer Kunstverein and BAK, Utrecht to mention but a
few. Being member of an expert team of Slowakian ministry of
cultural affairs he puts foth cultural efforts in the political
sphere.
GEORG SCHÖLLHAMMER
Georg Schöllhammer is publisher of "springerin - Hefte für
Gegenwartskunst", an international magazine for art, visual
culture and new media. From 1988 to 1994 he worked as cultural
editor for the Austrian daily "Der Standard". Since 1992 he has
been teaching at Art University in Linz. He has published on a
variety of issues and is currently working on urban and cultural
transformation, diversity and globalization with a special focus
on Central and Southeast Europe. At the moment he is project
leader of 'documenta 12 magazines'. Since 2004 he has been project
leader of tranzit.at (Vienna).
