Vom 25. bis zum 30. Juni 2007 gestalten die 13. Rencontres Internationales
während fünf Tage ein Entdeckungs- und Reflexionsraum zwischen Jungem Film
und zeitgenössischer Kunst im Kino Babylon:Mitte.

ERÖFFNUNG AM 25. JUNI AB 19 UHR. VORSTELLUNGEN AM 20 UND 22 UHR.

In Anwesenheit von Künstlern und Filmemachern aus der ganzen Welt bietet
diese außergewöhnliche Ausgabe ein internationales Programm als
Weltaufführung mit vielen Premieren, einem Panorama zeitgenössischer
Videokunst und mit Multimediakonzerten. Im Konsultationsraum hat jeder die
Gelegenheit, auf Wunsch das gesamte Festivalprogramm an- oder
wiederanzusehen.

PROJEKTIONEN (Video, Fiktion, Dokumentarfilm, Experimentelles), mit u.a.
> Internationalem Panorama zeitgenössischer Videokunst
> Jungem Film: eine zum ersten Mal präsentierte Auswahl aus Spiel- und
Dokumentarfilmen.
> Mehreren cartes blanches : an Jean-Marie Straub, an Anne-Marie Miéville
und Jean-Luc Godard, an Pedro Costa.
> Fokus auf mehrere Länder: Frankreich, Deutschland, Spanien sowie eine
Auswahl aus seltenen Filmen und Videos aus China, Kazachstan und dem Iran.

Am Samstag, den 30. Juni zwei Multimediakonzerte mit dem finnischen Duo
Pink Twins und dem niederländischen Duo Remco Schuurbiers unf Remco
Packbiers.

FORUM
Täglich finden Treffen und Diskussionen für Künstler und Publikum statt.
Parallel zu der Präsentation der Werke werden die anwesenden Künstler über
die Situation der künstlerischen Praxis in ihren Ländern berichten und
über produktions- und vertriebsbezogene Fragen diskutieren.

>From the 25th to the 30th of June in Berlin, the Rencontres
Internationales will create during 5 days a space of discovery and
reflection between new cinema and contemporary art, at the Babylon:Mitte
movie theatre.

OPENING : THE 25TH OF JUNE, FROM 7PM. SCREENING AT 8PM AND 10PM.

With the presence of artists and film directors from around the world,
this edition of the festival offers a new and original international
program, including many film premieres, a panorama of contemporary video,
as well as multimedia concerts. Furthermore, the festival's program can be
viewed and reviewed in the video library.

SCREENINGS (video, fiction, documentary, and experimental):
> An international panorama of contemporary video.
> A selection of new fiction and new documentary forms, premiered
internationally.
> Many open invitations (cartes blanches): to Jean-Marie Straub, to
Anne-Marie Miéville and Jean-Luc Godard, to Pedro Costa.
> Focus on several countries : France, Germany, Spain and a selection of
rare films and videos coming from China, Kazakhstan, Iran.

Each screening is built around a theme, a question through different forms
and audiovisual practices. Among the screenings, we could mention the

Saturday 30th of June, two multimedia concerts : with the Finnish duo 'the
Pink Twins', and the dutch duo gathering Remco Schuurbiers and Remco
Packbiers.

FORUM
More than a mere presentation of works of art, the Rencontres
Internationales also propose an intercultural forum, where the artists
attending will exchange with the audience, while talking about artistic
practices in their countries.

Du 25 au 30 juin 2007 à Berlin, les 13èmes Rencontres Internationales
créeront pendant 5 jours un espace de découverte et de réflexion entre
nouveau cinéma et art contemporain au cinéma Babylon:Mitte.

OUVERTURE LE 25 JUIN A PARTIR DE 19H. SEANCES A 20H ET 22H.

En présence d'artistes et de réalisateurs du monde entier, cette édition
exceptionnelle proposera une programmation internationale inédite. Avec de
nombreux films en première, un panorama de la création vidéo
contemporaine, des concerts multimédias. Un espace de consultation
permettra à chacun de découvrir ou revoir à la demande l'ensemble de la
programmation.

PROJECTIONS (vidéo, fiction, documentaire, expérimental), avec notamment :

> un panorama international de la création vidéo contemporaine
> une sélection inédite nouvelle fiction et nouveau documentaire
> plusieurs cartes blanches : à Jean-Marie Straub, à Anne-Marie Miéville
et Jean-Luc Godard, à Pedro Costa.
> des focus sur plusieurs pays : la France, l'Allemagne, l'Espagne, et une
sélection de films et vidéos rares provenant de Chine, du Kazakhstan,
d'Iran.

Chaque séance est construite autour d'un sujet ou d'une thématique
transversale à différents genres et différentes pratiques audiovisuelles.

Le samedi 30 juin, deux concerts multimédia avec le duo finlandais Pink
Twins et le duo néerlandais Remco Schuurbiers et Remco Packbiers.

FORUM
Tous les jours, des rencontres et discussions sont proposées aux artistes
et au public. Parallèlement à la présentation des œuvres, les artistes
présents témoigneront de la situation de leur pratique artistique dans
leur pays, de questions liées à la production et la diffusion de leur
travail.
