CYNETart_03transit mainly presents world premieres and own productions.=20=

In only three days and nights visitors are invited to see eight=20
performances, six installations and visit the international forum on=20
=93sound in transit=94. About 40 artists and scientists from ten =
countries=20
and three continents participate in the 7th CYNETart festival.=20
CYNETart_03transit will also present a project on the =93First Virtual=20=

Square of World Culture=94 in Dresden=92s city centre. The Swiss group=20=

tenteki will transfer the Square into an interactive zone with sounds=20
and visuals.

=A0The last journey

On the first night (Friday, October 10) the Austrian actor, dancer, and=20=

media artist Georg Hobmeier is going to present hisversion of the last=20=

journey of Odysseus. The Performance lives from its language and=20
movement and takes place in a virtual dream world. The actor wanders in=20=

strange universes of imagery and sound. =93Die letzte Reise=94 was =
produced=20
by the organiser Trans-Media-Akademie. Staged in between dream and=20
reality, life and death, this performance stands for a =93trans-theatre=94=
=20
of the electronic age.


Invisible

The same applies to the performance of the French Compagnie Mulleras on=20=

October 11, also in the Festspielhau Hellerau. Their project=20
=93Invisible=94 confronts the dancing body with media-generated images =
and=20
effigies. Realised in cooperation with the Institut Fran=E7ais,=20
=93Invisible=94 opens the French Week in Dresden with Dresden=92s =
Cultural=20
Mayor Dr. Lutz Vogel. Following the performance, we present a=20
cooperation with the Culture Foundation of Germany. The =93electronic=20
theatre=94 =93Bowling am Tiber=94 byPeter Carpand Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag =
sees=20
its world premiere on Saturday night in the Festspielhaus.

sound in transit

The events on Sunday, October 12, focus on the dialogue between the=20
digital and the physical generation of sound. Current tendencies in the=20=

melting of sound and images, in real-time interaction between computers=20=

and live instruments and in the generation of body-sounds will be=20
presented in the forum and in performances under the headline of =93sound=20=

in transit=94. Participants and performers are, among others, Werner=20
Jauk(A), Kim Cascone(USA), Joel Ryan(USA/NL), Matthias Lorenz(D),=20
tenteki(CH), Pawel Janicki(PL), Wilfried Jentzsch(D) and the elolepiano=20=

trio directed by Matthias Lorenz(Dresden).

microscope session

For revellers, this year=92s CYNETart offers two events in the=20
experimental twilight zones of human apperception: the meanwhile=20
established microscope session presents, among others, TUNA TRIGGER=20
(GB/D) in a live act on Saturday. The media lounge is going to serve a=20=

mix of visuals, sounds, net impressions and drinks on Friday and=20
Saturday.
