IN THE BUBBLE: THE NEW POWER LAWS OF DESIGN
Lecture by John Thackara, firstPerceptron, Doors of Perception

In the bubble is how air-traffic controllers describe their state of 
mind in the control tower, when exposed to multiple and constantly 
changing streams of information. For John Thackara, director of the 
celebrated conference Doors of Perception, In the bubble also 
describes how we might think about the design of products and places 
in an age of complex systems. In this lecture, he argues that new 
principles apply in an age of networks and webs - so-called "power 
laws" for design enabled by wireless networks, weblogs and web 
services.

Fast Company described John Thackara as "a design guru, critic and
