Call for Entries for the CYNETART Competition 2018
11 – 14 October 2018 at Festspielhaus Hellerau, Dresden
Topic: Stupor

CYNETART is an international festival for computer-based art in Dresden. 
 From 11 to 14 October 2018, the 22nd edition of the festival will 
present an exhibition at the Festspielhaus Hellerau Dresden with the 
prize-winning works and selected competition entries.

Every two years, the Trans-Media Akademie Hellerau organizes the 
international CYNETART competition. The three CYNETART commissions, each 
with a production and performance budget of 5,000 EUR, will be offered 
for artistic examination on the theme of the 2018 festival.

In addition, the CYNETART awards the Grant from the Saxon State Minister 
for Higher Education, Research and the Arts, as well as an 
Artist-in-Residence Scholarship of the Saxon State Minister for Higher 
Education, Research and the Arts.

The call for proposals is aimed at artists, creatives and scientists who 
deal with the topic of "stupor" in their artistic and reflective 
examination, especially in interdisciplinary forms and approaches.

Ausschreibung für Wettbewerb CYNETART 2018 11. bis 14. Oktober 2018 im 
Festspielhaus Hellerau, Dresden
Thema: Stupor

Die CYNETART ist ein internationales Festival für computergestützte 
Kunst in Dresden. Vom 11. bis 14. Oktober 2018 wird die 22. 
Festivalausgabe im Festspielhaus Hellerau Dresden eine Ausstellung mit 
den Preisträgerarbeiten und ausgewählten Wettbewerbsbeiträgen präsentieren.

Alle zwei Jahre schreibt die veranstaltende Trans-Media-Akademie 
Hellerau den internationalen CYNETART-Wettbewerb aus. Angeboten werden 
CYNETART-Preise zu jeweils 5.000 EUR Produktions- und Aufführungsbudget 
für eine Umsetzung zum ausgeschriebenen Thema im Rahmen des Festivals 
2018.  Zudem werden im Rahmen der CYNETART der Förderpreis der 
Kunstministerin des Freistaates Sachsen sowie ein 
Artist-in-Residence-Stipendium der Kunstministerin des Freistaates 
Sachsen ausgelobt.

Die Ausschreibung wendet sich an Künstler*innen, Kreative und 
Wissenschaftler*innen, die sich in ihrer künstlerischen und reflexiven 
Auseinandersetzung mittels spartenübergreifender Formen und 
interdisziplinärer Ansätze mit dem Thema „Stupor“ beschäftigen.
