About the WAG

Due to our needs that seem to be increasingly handheld, WAG was born on
2009! The Widget Art Gallery is a mini single art gallery room fitting into
people's pocket. Every month, the WAG hosts a solo digital art exhibition
related to its dynamic site-specific context. So the WAG works both as a
sort of kunsthall showing temporary exhibitions and also as museum
conserving all the past shows inside an online archive that creates a
permanent collection.

About the show

"Flashcrash Unlimited" by Fabio Lattanzi Antinori.

The artwork is the condensed representation of the last few minutes of the
US stock exchange prior to the infamous flashcrash of May 6 2010. The
looped animation stands as an ironic reminder of the thousands yet smaller
flash crashes that have made their appearance on the financial market; its
rough two-dimensional aesthetic, in stark contrast with the pristine
realistic background of the WAG white cube where it is displayed, is
reminiscent of the flat world of Big Data and algorithmic trading.

Fabio Lattanzi Antinori is an italian artist based and working in London.
His work mixing a range of mediums, as: sculpture, print and interactive
installations, examines the language of power and control of corporate
systems and its effect on the belief systems of the individual.
