Visualising the Emotional Response to London 2012

Don't miss the 'real life' manifestation of emoto at the Former Post Office in Preston as part of WePlay Expo in Preston Fri 7 to Sun 9 Sept 2012. Open 12:00 - 20:00 http://futureeverything.org/news/emoto-at-we-play/

emoto is a unique data art project that has been visualising the emotional response to the Olympic Games 2012 as medals were won and lost.

Now for the first time the millions of online interactions have been transformed into a unique interactive installation created especially for the WePlay Expo. Join us at the PAD Gallery, Former Post Office in Preston (PR1 2AR, next to the Harris Gallery) to see our data art sculpture present in physical form the collective response to the Olympics, and an impressive timeline of the highs and lows of the Games. The installation reveals the emotional journey of the athletes and nations, and the most compelling stories during the Games as reflected in the online interactions of the global audience.

Currently on the emoto website http://emoto2012.org you can also view the real time response to the Paralympic Games. Also see the response to the millions of tweets monitored during the Olympics on the blog http://blog.emoto2012.org and and follow us on twitter @emoto.
