Open to the public!! Comes to meet the American performance’s poet Anne 
Waldam, the Italian filmmaker Franco Battiato and the Amerindian 
story-teller Amerindian *Charles Coocoo*, *Jean-Pierre Verheggen, Kenan 
Gorgün, Otto Ganz... and many elses!*


The fIEstival was born from the will to make each year an international 
big manifestation in  Brussels…to dedicate an event for the artistic 
performance and  the poetic act.  At the origin of this event: 
Maelström, Publisher house and event organizer of Brussels artistic 
events. Maelström, during this celebration which will be from now annual 
and will count in quite 5, gathers various artists: writers, poets, 
musicians, and artists close to it, in the purpose to present their 
productions in an intimate, interactive and sometimes “in a spectacular 
way”. 
The authors and the Maelstöm assistants prepare a dish which constitute 
the MEAL-BANQUET for this celebration….Books and booklegs are published 
for this occasion. Thus, for the first edition, 3 authors discovered 
their books at the same time  as on March 17th 2007 during the 
FiEstival, and it, before even the journalists or the bookseller…

In Gold We Trust?
Or of  Invisible Americas
 poetic declaration for the recognition of the Amerindian 
genocides....beat generation authors... poetry and spirituality... a 
shaman act ...performances of the unproductive...the body, the life, the 
shadow, the death, the paintings of the invisible...


On Friday, April 4th, 2008 from 7:30 pm
 projections of 2 films followed by meeting and debate with the authors
& on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 in Brussels
litteratury, poetryn artistic's performance, musics &f finale Jam!

A second artistic, film, literary, musical and poetic meeting, under the 
Charles COOCOO's shaman aura ( Matotoson Iriniu), which will take us in 
a spiritual journey on the traces of the Amerindians Attikamekws, 
together with the Italian director FRANCO BATTIATO, the  american 
artist's performer Anne WALDMAN and live with LAWRENCE FERLINGHETTI, 
alive myth of BEAT GENERATION which will investigate with us the ways of 
the virtual …

Faithful to the spirit of the whirlwind, the FiEstival 2 evolves and, in 
this year of presidential elections in the United States  and mortuary 
commemoration of  May ' 68, decides to look over, beyond the Atlantic 
Ocean, with the other "American" realities, popular and less 
popular...invite to see through where the things not " give not always 
to see "

Thus "United States" authors,  will be invited, but also Chileans, 
Mexicans, Quebecers, Canadians …
...and Amerindian! Or "natives" as say the people from the United States 
… It is indeed together with the worthy of the representatives of the 
peoples lived in these vast territories before " the white man / yellow 
/ black " that will be organized the FiEstivities for this second 
edition! As much than the level poetic, musical, film and...culinary!

Musicians will play all along the night, video-maker will improvise 
projected videos sequences and alive artists wil be also invited to 
create in live, in front of the  public public...And the public who will 
be also invited to create, to write, and to say its texts or to play its 
musics during the big Jam Poetico-Musical  final … *
