Sarah Cook, Medienwissenschaftlerin aus Newcastle, spricht über die
Reaktionen von Medienkünstlern auf die Entwicklungen des so genannten
Web 2.0. Sie gibt einen historischen Überblick, wie Künstler das World
Wide Web in ihren Arbeiten thematisiert haben und stellt Strategien vor,
wie netzbasierte Kunst im Internet ausgestellt werden kann. 

Der Vortrag ist Teil des Rahmenprogramms zur Ausstellung MY OWN PRIVATE
REALITY. Generation Internet wird erwachsen, die von Sarah Cook und
Sabine Himmelsbach kuratiert wurde.

Sarah Cook, new media curator and university researcher from Newcastle,
talks about how media artists react to the developments of the so called
Web 2.0. She is going to survey the history of the web as a subject of
artworks and present strategies of exhibiting web based art online.

The talk is part of the programme accompanying the exhibition MY OWN
PRIVATE REALITY. Growing up online in the 90s and 00s, curated by Sarah
Cook and Sabine Himmelsbach.
