Deadline extended for 3rd ZEBRA Poetry Film Award!

Dear friends of Poetry Film,

the deadline for sending entries to the 3rd ZEBRA Poetry Film Award
has been extended up to and including 16 July 2006!

From right around the world came requests to extend the deadline for
sending entries to the 3rd ZEBRA Poetry Film Award. For this reason,
the end of the registration period has been moved back to 16 July
2006.

A programme commission made up of international members will nominate
the films to take part in the competition. From 11 to 14 October
2006, the films will be presented to the public in the ZEBRA Film
Festival. An international jury will decide the winner of the 3rd
ZEBRA Poetry Film Award between 11 and 14 October 2006, awarding
prizes amounting to a total of 10,000 Euros. A registration form and
conditions of entry are at:

The ZEBRA Poetry Film Award has established itself as the largest
forum for international poetry film, and offers filmmakers from all
over the world the chance to exchange ideas and fix positions. The
ZEBRA Poetry Film Award offers a platform for a dynamic short film
genre, which has developed into an independent art form located
between literature, film and new media. Various special programmes,
an international colloquium and a comprehensive retrospective will
complete the 3rd ZEBRA Poetry Film Award.

The ZEBRA Poetry Film Award is a project of the Literaturwerkstatt
Berlin together with interfilm berlin and will be taking place with
the kind assistance of the Kulturstiftung des Bundes and the Goethe
Institute.
