Dear Expert, Collaborator, Friend

Media Centre Lume, the National Research and Development Centre of
audiovisual media, of the University of Art and Design Helsinki, Finland,
celebrates the first five successful years by organising a festival week,
January 26th - 29th, 2005.

Lume gathers under the same roof students and researchers of film and
television, design for theatre, and new media. Creating networks and
supporting collaboration is one of the crucial tasks of the centre and thus
the theme of the week will be AFFAIRS.

The festival week consist of high-level seminars with quick-paced revolver
panels, Anniversary parties, demos of the latest gizmos, movie and media
art highlights. All the events are free of charge for the invited guests.

The international key-note speakers are media convergence expert, producer
of the Coppola films, Fred Fuchs, and the investment manager of Technology
New Zealand,
Richard Hall. The week is moderated by director Elukka Eskelinen.

We have the pleasure to invite You to celebrate the anniversary with us! If
you are coming, drop a mail to me or to Tarja - tarja.peltoniemi at lume.fi.
We will then assist you with the travel arrangements.
