SHOPPING FOR THE VIRTUAL bringt Künstler, Sammler und Spezialisten

SHOPPING FOR THE VIRTUAL brings together collectors, artists and
specialists to discuss models of an economy for the digital arts
considering the specific qualities of this new art form as well as
the dynamics of the art market.
While the media competence of the public is expanding rapidly, and
media art is reaching a wide audience online, the art market (like
many museums) is just starting to recognizing the relevance of
digital art and is trying to find ways of including it.
An economy for digital arts clearly cannot rely on the system of
copyrights, it has to develop a entirely new system of exchange. With
a roundtable [plug.in] presents some examples of digital art classics
and launches a discussion on art market models for them.
