Duality and Synthesis in Interactive Art 

  :Lecturers Ariel Malka and Heidi Krupp


A historical review of the development process of creation in the 
field of Net Art and an examination of the ways in which artists 
approach the field by means of new tools of technology. Technological 
tools that destroy and construct paradigms, and a technology that 
serves as a tool of creation and art, for discovering new paradigms.

There will be a demonstration of a new learning environment, 
Processing, which leads to an open investigation of innovative 
subjects in the interactive field and digital art, and we will hold a 
discussion on the implications of different development environments

Processing Workshop



The workshop is a playground for participants from diverse 
backgrounds to join in the creation of a common language, in a 
synthesis of art and coding. Each participant will acquire skills and 
tools of self-expression through the Processing programming language, 
which will serve an open exploration of the world of Interactive and 
Electronic Arts.



Opening Signal provides an open and rich learning environment, 
optimizing the unique contribution of each participant - whether in 
coding, design or art or other media-related areas. Thus, 
participants become active partners in the learning experience, 
developing a creative dialogue with the materials and 
fellow-explorers.
