"Against the art of the art-works I want to teach a superior art: the art
of invention of fests" (Friedrich Nietzsche, 1881)

The spirit of the Global Poetry Action is the fest. The idea is a
collective creation which runs in the net as communication, art made of
communication, which brings people who live very far in contact; but we
also play on the semantic limit between real and virtual; so we want
this collaborative performance realizes itself also as concrete, "real"
thing out of the net, in remote places of the planet, as installation,
performance, exhibition, for this reason the collaborative net-performance
will have extensions out from the Internet, in remote places of the Earth,
as concrete "thing": installation, event, performance, and then it will
return in Internet, as web site in which all the real installations and
the real events, created with the poems of the net-action, will be on line.
The GLOBAL POETRY NET-ACTION, as common art-work of all the artists and
the poets who coollaborated, making this project live and making it
possible,
is going to be documented in a book about Karenina.it best initiatives.

KARENINA.IT (poetry in "fàtica" function) A web project by Caterina Davinio
davinio@tin.it on line since 1998 - By Jakobson, 'fàtico' is the use of
the language which has the finality to maintain open and operative the
communication channel among the interlocutors. On the confine between art
and critic, happening and net performance, Karenina.it is a virtual meeting
place around the theme of the writing and the new technologies, in which
experiences of international artists, curators, theoreticians converge, in a
net that counts thousands of contacts in the world.
