UTOPIA TRAVEL in Ljubljana

SCCA, Center for Contemporary Arts - Ljubljana (SCCA-Ljubljana) presents
the project of mobile videotheque entitled Utopia Travel on two locations
in Ljubljana: in front of the Museum of Modern Art (Friday, 28th June 2002
from 10 am to 6 pm) and in front of the Menza pri koritu Club at Metelkova
mesto (Saturday, 29th June at 10 pm).

On its three months travel across Africa, Asia and Europe, Utopia Travel
has finally reached Ljubljana. It has been conceived and organized by two
young Austrian artists, Emanuel Danesch and David Rych, as the compilation
of a mobile videotheque containing video/ film material that has been
collected & presented in the following cities: Cairo - Beirut - Istanbul -
Sofia - Skopje  - Belgrade - Sarajevo - Zagreb - Ljubljana – Vienna.

The project has been produced in cooperation with several organisations
working with video - in Slovenia the SCCA-Ljubljana. On the basis of the
conversations and the SCCA-Ljubljana documentary, research and archive
project Videodokument: Video Art in Slovenia 1969-1998, the following
selection of material has been made: ZANK - Zemira Alajbegovic in Neven A.
Korda (Slices of Time), Jasna Hribernik (House of Contrasts), Andrej
Lupinc-Lupo (In 8 Minutes Around the World), Marko A. Kovacic (No More
Heroes Any More), Damijan Kracina (Nails), Saso Podgorsek (But the Goat
Survived), Rok Sieberer - Kuri (Media Teror Mix), Mirko Simic (The Smell of
Earth), Saso Vrabic (Drive In).
