It's true, of course.

When a gladiator like colin powell does his peace mission thang in the
middle east, you can see he likes to take his time, travels around a
bit for a discussion here and there, even while palestinian civilians
are being slaughtered in their own homes.

In their own homes.

Then the mission can begin in earnest:

"First, you must renounce terrorism - in arabic!"

so far so good.

"Next, you must roll over three times and renounce terrorism".

A little more difficult but maybe possible...

"Then, you must bend over backward and kiss your arse, and renounce
terrorism."

and so it goes, jump though a hoop and renounce terrorism, look at the
camera, smile broadly and renounce terrorism, stand on one leg and
whistle dixie, etc.

This way the slaughter can continue a little longer. We are supposed to
believe that somehow an occupying nation doesn't know what to expect
from its occupation (ie, since 1967).

I want to know what's happened to the american democrats, given the
debacle of the last election, and why they have chosen to roll over of
their own free will.

PS does anyone else hear an irony in the way media outlets deliberately
pronounce the name of the us secretary of state as "colon"?
