[rohrpost] <new media art povera> Ausstellung "Violently Y/ours"

sehr geehrte Rohrpost-Leser,

hier in aller kurzen Länge die Fakten zur Einzelausstellung

Station Rose     "Violently Y/ours,
                               recycling Surplus to save Nature",

                                New Media Arte Povera

                                neue analoge und digitale Arbeiten

welche nur noch diese Woche (bis 6.2.2010) in 
unserer nativen Heimatstadt Linz/A zu sehen ist
(in der ja auch die Ars Electronica untergebracht 
ist). Obwohl "20 Digitale Jahre" 
unerklärlicherweise 2008 nicht in Linz gelandet 
waren, trotz  einer nicht zu übersehenden 
Technikaffinität der Stadt , auch in der Kunst, 
waren wir nun also ab 2009  2x vor Ort aktiv - im 
Lentos im Herbst performativ, und nun mit der 
aktuellen Ausstellung in der Galerie Hofkabinett, 
einem ganz besonderen Ort in der Altstadt, in 
einem 500 Jahre alten Haus, und ausserdem der 
ersten Galerie der Stadt nach 1945.

Die Eckwerte, der Ausgangspunkt :
allg. Internet-Winter-Müdigkeit, spürbare 
Paranoia vor der totalen Google-Kontrolle, der 
keine Sekunde zu übersehende Finanzwahnsinn, - 
welcher leider ausnehmend gut - bis zur 
Unerträglichkeit - hier in der Finanzmetropole 
Frankfurt, der Stadt, in der STR sein Headquarter 
hat, beobachtbar ist.

Die Ausstellung : Reduktion ist angesagt, "recycling Surplus to save Nature"
  Zukunfstgläubigkeit ist von vorgestern, wir 
haben "New Media Arte Povera" für unsere aktuelle 
KunstSTRömung ausgerufen.

______Life instead of Artificial Life, present instead of the future.

(Vielleicht will ja wieder Hr.Lobo in 10+ jahren 
behaupten, der Begriff ist von ihm, sowie er es 
mit Digitaler Boheme macht.

Die Ausstellung ist bis Samstag geöffnet, und es 
gibt einiges zu sehen & zu hören, so u.a.auch 
eine limitierte Audio-Cassetten-Edition, und 
Stickbilder, aus 10m großen Video-Projektionen 
generiert...

en detail:

STATION ROSE/STR are back to their home-town Linz 
for the 2nd time, after their AV-performance at 
Lentos museum in oct.09, this time with the 
solo-exhibition "Violently Y/ours" at gallery 
Hofkabinett.

Now the media artists go consciously away from 
the media art (scene)´s devoutness to the future,
and concentrate on the crisis-ridden present, with new digital & analog works.

______Life instead of Artificial Life, present instead of the future.

             They call their current direction "New Media Arte Povera".

For the solo-exhibition this means that STR acts 
in the sense of not wasting material, which must 
be retained nowadays. When "Recycling Surplus to 
Save Nature", they use the surplus, the fall-out 
of their studio in Frankfurt as samples for new 
works, besides digital prints on cloth. A very 
personal material, recently used by Elisa Rose, 
are her (worn) tights, recycled to yarn. Stills 
from the AV-compositions "Violent", 
"Fussgaengerzone" and "Ornamental_409", performed 
at Lentos museum, now become stitched, printed, 
sewn pieces of art, transfered into <real> 
material. The 500 year old building, in which 
gallery Hofkabinett is accommodated, represents a 
further exciting contrast to the in the meantime 
21 years of digitality of the artists.

In addition, AV-compositions will be shown, & a limited music-edtion
<on Audio-Cassette> will be available in the exhibition, too.
