ARTE A FULL - Call for entries Deadline ist der 10. Dezember 2007!

Wir möchten Sie hiermit über unser aktuelles Festival ARTE A FULL
informieren.

Parallel zum renommierten Rundgang in der Spinnereistrasse in
Leipzig findet vom 18. bis 20. Januar 2008 das Festival ARTE A FULL
im nahe gelegenen WESTWERK, einer ehemaligen Industriearmaturenfabrik
in Leipzig-Plagwitz statt. Dieses Festival, welches von Ser Humanos
e.V.* ins Leben gerufen wurde, hat das Ziel, künstlerische Positionen
mit sozialer, politischer bzw. gesellschaftskritischer Relevanz zu
präsentieren. Hierbei wird es darum gehen das Spannungsfeld von Kunst
und sozialem Mangel zu thematisieren. Damit soll die Frage
aufgeworfen werden, inwieweit zeitgenössische Kunst aktuelle 
gesellschaftliche
Missstände überhaupt noch aufzeigen kann. Der gesamte Erlös der
Veranstaltung, deren Eintritt auf Spendenbasis erfolgt, kommt dem
Verein Ser Humanos e.V.* zu Gute.

Als Display der Arbeiten wird eine Rauminstallation von
argentinischen Künstlern/ Architekten geschaffen, die die zentrale
Halle des Industriebaus in einen argentinischen Slum verwandeln.
Innerhalb der Elendsbaracken werden White-Cubes installiert, die als
Ausstellungsfläche nutzbar sind.

Eine Auswahl der eingereichten Werke werden zu einem späteren
Zeitpunkt (nach Absprache mit den Künstlern) an der Hochschule für
Grafik und Buchkunst in der temporären ?GALERIE EMPRAXIS / Forum für
Kunst und Philosophie? präsentiert. Für die Einreichung der Arbeiten
bitten wir Sie das beiliegende Formular zu nutzen. Bitte senden Sie
Ihre Arbeiten bis spätestens 10. Dezember an:

Diese Ausstellung wird kuratiert von: Prof. Ralf Urban Bühler,
Guillermo Fiallo Montero, Konstanze Schwarzwald, Hagen Wiel

* SER HUMANOS E.V. ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Leipzig
und Partnervereinen in Barcelona (Spanien) und Córdoba (Argentinien).
SER HUMANOS E.V. hat sich der Förderung des interkulturellen
Austausches in Leipzig verschrieben und unterstützt gleichzeitig mit
seinen Einnahmen das Entwicklungshilfeprojekt ?Pueblo ? Hogar Amor?
in Córdoba ? Argentinien. Bei dem Projekt geht es um die
Resozialisierung von Familien aus Elendsvierteln, mit denen
gemeinschaftlich eine neue sich selbst finanzierende Dorfgemeinschaft
auf dem Land aufgebaut werden soll, in der sie lernen sollen, wieder
eigenständig und unabhängig von fremder Hilfe ein lebenswürdiges
Leben zu leben. Momentan geht es bei Ser Humanos e.V. darum, das
Grundstück in Argentinien abzubezahlen, auf dem das Projekt
realisiert werden soll. Dazu sind noch 16 000 Euro nötig.   SER
HUMANOS E.V. hat seit seiner Gründung 2004 die unterschiedlichsten
Veranstaltungen gekonnt und werbewirksam organisiert. Mehr

ARTE A FULL - Call for entries Deadline is 10th December 2007!

We would like to inform you about our current festival ARTE A FULL.

The festival ARTE A FULL will be happening between 18th  and 20th
January 2008 at the former factory for industrial instruments
WESTWERK in Leipzig-Plagwitz, which is located close to the
?Spinnereistrasse? in Leipzig, where the well known tour of the art
galleries is scheduled at the same time. The festival, organised by
Ser Humanos e.V. *, aims at presenting socially or politically
relevant artistic positions, with the general theme being the
conflict between art and social deprivation. This will raise the
question whether and to what extent art is still able to reveal
current social problems.

An installation by Argentinean artists / architects will serve as
the display of the works. They will fit the central hall of the
industrial facility with shacks from an Argentinean slum that can be
used as white cubes.

A selection from the submitted works could also later be displayed
(with agreement from the artists) at the temporary ?GALERY EMPRAXIS /
Forum for Art and Philosophy? at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig.

* SER HUMANOS E.V. is a not-for-profit organisation with its head
office in Leipzig (Germany) and partner associations in Barcelona
(Spain) and Córdoba (Argentina). SER HUMANOS E.V. aims at promoting
intercultural exchange in Leipzig and at the same time supports the
development aid project ?Pueblo ? Hogar Amor? in Córdoba ? Argentinia
by donating all profits to the project. The project aims at
re-socialising families from the slums by building a new self
sufficient rural community together with the families, in which they
will re-learn to live an independent life in dignity without being
dependent on foreign aid.   At the moment Ser Humanos e.V. is up to
buy an estate, where the projekt will put into practice.  For that
purpose are needed 16.000 Euro. Since its foundation in 2004, SER
HUMANOS E.V. has ably organised a variety of high-profile events. For
