Q-O2 werkplaats ist ein Arbeitskollektiv, ein Atelier für experimentelle 
Musik und verwandte Künste in Brüssel. Im März 2006 präsentierte Q-O2 ein 
dreitägiges Musikfestival in Brüssel im Rahmen der Ausstellung ‘a room of 
one’s own’. Musikerinnen und Komponistinnen aus Brüssel sowie Berlin 
entwickelten und präsentierten neue experimentelle Arbeiten unter der 
Fragestellung „Was bedeutet unsere alltägliche Umwelt / alltäglicher Raum 
für uns?“ „Inwiefern wird unsere Arbeit beeinflusst von den Räumen, in 
denen wir leben, arbeiten und darstellen?" 2007 Q-O2 präsentiert eine 
„Berlin“-Version des Festivals. Die eingeladenen Künstlerinnen untersuchen 
Grenze und Überschneidungen von akustischer und elektronischer Musik in 
Kompositionen und Improvisationen und erarbeiten raumbezogene Stücke im 
Ballhaus Naunynstraße.

Q-O2 is a working place, an atelier for experimental music and related arts 
situated in Brussels. It functions on three levels: by hosting artists on a 
working residency, by starting up and guiding projects and by organising 
concerts. In March 2006 q-o2 werkplaats presented a three day music 
festival in Brussels in the scope of the exhibition ‘a room of one’s own’. 
Musicians and composers from Brussels and Berlin were invited to present 
new experimental work starting from the basic question: “What does our 
everyday environment/space mean to us?” “how does the space in which we 
live and work and perform influence our work?” In 2007 Q-O2 presents the 
‘Berlin’ version of this festival. The invited artists explore the 
boundaries of acoustic and electronic music, of composition and 
improvisation and the explicit role of space/environment in their work.
