01) COVER&INTERVIEW: MARCOS WESKAMP
Loads of information come and go through every day. Marcos
Weskamp has created some projects, which visualize such
unseen information with academic and interesting concept and
technology. We interviewed him and grabbed interesting talk.

02) WHAT'S GOOD? CONFERENCE
From the 8th to the11th of January, the "What's good?
Conference" was held in Hong Kong. It was an Art & Creativity
festival coordinated under the auspices of the Hong Kong
Artcenter and organized by the design office "AllRightReserved"
and SK Lam, the former general manager of "IdN".

03) ART MEETS MEDIA
Working on the theme of what "Media Art" is, which is hard to
define in spite of its genarally wide use, a highly motivated
exhibition titled "Art Meets Media: adventures in perception" is
being held at NTT InterCommunication Center starting on the
21st of January.

04) PERFECT HEAT
Miska Draskoczy is a New York based designer and filmmaker. His
latest film, 'Perfect Heat', is premiering this month at the San
Francisco Independent FIlm Festival and his previous short, 'Golf
Xpress' played at TromaDance in Park City, Utah at the end of
January.

05) ME MAGAZINE
Claudia Wu is a New York based graphic designer and art director.
She got her start doing art direction and design at Visionaire and
V Magazine followed by stints at Harpers Bazaar and Prada
Beauty. I spoke with her about her latest project Me Magazine.

06) EVOLUTION CAFE
On the 18th of February, an exhibition "Evolution Cafe", whose
theme is "the arts of new generations that develop life-styles in
the 21th century", will kick off as the opening exhibition for the
huge art-space "BankART Studio NYK" made in collabolation
between Yokohama city and a NPO for the arts.

07) SEMI-PERMANENT 05
Following last year's event, Semi-Permanent 05 will be held in
Sydney on the 18th and 19th of March. This event is presented by
the Sydney based design group, "Design is Kinky". This will mark
the third time this event will be held.

08) ANDERSEN
Following "Grimm", and in commemoration of the 200th birthday
of Hans Christian Andersen, Die Gestalten Verlag is publishing
"Andersen - The Illustrated Fairy Tales of Hans Christian
Andersen". The book contains the original stories written by
Andersen and is combined with contemporary visuals illustrated
by 14 artists. From around the world artists were selected, and
in a similar style as Grimm.

09) RESFEST 2005
"RESFEST", the biggest digital film festival in the world, is
seeking the world's most innovative short films, animation
design films and music videos for its 9th annual tour!
The early deadline for submission is April 15, 2005 ($20
submission fee) and the final deadline is May 12, 2005 ($25
submission fee).

10) TOMOAKI RYUH EXHIBITION
Tomoaki Ryuh is a Japanese designer living in London. He creates
works, with his own unique sensibility, in the various fields of
graphic design, graffiti, web and fashion design. He has a wide
body of work, and thinks that the approach to creating is
important and leads to powerful works. Tomoaki Ryuh is one of
the artist we should pay attention to now and in the future. His
first exhibition in Japan is to be held at SOSO Cafe.

11) INFO-WORLD
What's happening around the borderground? Correspondents for
Shift dwelling on the edge of the world contribute monthly to

This issue's presents are "Me Magazine", a newly-made magazine
in New York, a DVD of Perfect Heat and a ticket for
"Semi-Permanent 05" that will be held in Sydney in March. Each
item will be given to 3 people. The deadline is on February 28th.
