The London based media artist Heath Bunting is known for undermining the 
regular structures and routines of daily life. One could describe his 
actions as a form of cultural sabotage, for instance when he falsifies 
documents and deceives government institutions with their official 
appearance. Other actions have include riding a train and pretending not 
to have a ticket. A chase through the train resulted, and in the end he 
presented his ticket stub. Exploring utopias is an overarching theme 
that links Bunting, who works to erase borders of all kinds, with our 
special guests, who call to mind a range of utopias through the work of 
Birrell on the project ENVOY. This exhibition is on view at 
BüroFriedrich through August 2nd, 2003.
